$100,000.00 Tagged Fish Grand Prize!!

We are instituting a new portion of our tournament this year.   We will be tagging a certain number of striped bass in the area using a special tag.

One of those tags is worth $100,000.00

You catch a striped bass with our lucky tag in it during this Derby and the $100,000 is yours!

There will be a separate entry fee for this portion of the event.

You just have to be lucky!  Other tagged fish will have additional prizes!

We are limiting this section of the tournament to no more than 600 anglers

As soon as we reach 600 anglers we will no longer accept any applications for this part of the derby.

So get your application in early before the 600 openings are gone!  There is a lot of interest and these may go fast.

Especially since we will be signing anglers up at the NY Boat show and the Rockland county show.

Special rules for the $100,000.00 Prize

A number of striped bass will be tagged and released in and around the Derby area. In accordance with the rules of the sponsors' agent, ONLY ONE of these twelve fish will pay the $100,000 prize. The number of the winning tag will be selected by the agent of the sponsors before the start of the Derby and will not be known to Derby officials or the sponsors. When a tagged fish is turned in at a weigh-in station, Derby officials will follow the agent's procedure for determining if the fish is the $100,000 fish. This may take 24-36 hours. Persons turning in any of the other tagged fish will be awarded separate prizes.

If you catch a tagged fish, DO NOT REMOVE the tag from the fish. To be eligible for any tagged fish prizes the fish must be presented to Derby officials with the tag still attached to the fish. In order to receive the $100,000 prize the winner may be required by the sponsors' agent, not the sponsor, to pass a polygraph examination.

(i)  Specified fish must be caught in accordance with all state and federal laws, and in the manner otherwise prescribed herein.

(That is simple)

(ii)  Only those persons officially entered in the Fishing Tournament who comply with the terms and conditions of this contract and Sponsor's Official Promotion Rules are eligible. Winning fish must be caught by an eligible angler.

(You have to be signed up in this section of the tournament to win it)

(iii)  The sponsor's agent must receive the original Exhibit B Winners Affidavit and Release for each catch submitted for prize redemption. All information must be complete and all signatures must be present and authentic.

(We take care of this)

(iv)  After receipt of completed and signed documentation, the sponsor's agent or an their designated independent judging organization may conduct an investigation including, but not limited to requiring the Sponsor to provide access to the: Winner; Witness; and Contest Officials who must submit to and pass in a conclusive manner, a polygraph examinations as a condition precedent to claim consideration, if, in the sponsor's agent's sole opinion, such action is warranted.

(Winners of the $100,000.00 prize must submit to a polygraph test if requested)

(v)  In the event of a claim, within 10 business days of the catch, Sponsor must provide the agent with completed and signed Exhibit B, winning tag and master envelope (unopened) for claim verification.

(we take care of this)

(vi)  Potential winning catches must be presented to the tournament director(s), WITH TAG ATTACHED, for claim verification. No prize will be awarded unless the fish and tag are presented, still attached to each other, and Claimant and Sponsor have complied with each term and condition of the contract herein.

(You must bring the fish with the tag in it to the weigh in station)

(vii)  Eligible contestants: Only those participants officially entered in the Fishing Tournament who comply with the terms and conditions of this Contract and Sponsor's Official Promotion Rules shall be eligible for a prize.

(Again, you must be entered in the contest to win the $100,000.00 prize)
